Challenge 3
This is the third and final video project I did in class and it was by far the hardest. I thought after doing it twice before it would be easy, i was wrong. I had probably the best most creative group but finding a topic for our film and finding a story line took a really long time. After we got one we started filming.
Some of our shots were outside so we decided to do those first. Getting out there we already had some problems. It was kinda windy and really cold we had some continuity errors because of the on coming traffic. After day one of shooting all our outside shots were done. The second day we had alot of major issues. It took us about 20 minuets to get the tripod how we wanted it. it kept falling and not working but after we got it we got through most the shots and only had about two left. The next day was the day we were spose to edit. My team had to finish filming but we had to make it quick so we got the best working tripod went to out first location. We got one shot then when we went to film our next a class came out and was looking at a plant right in the middle of the shot. We didn’t have time to wait so we just went with it so we definitely have continuity errors that could have been avoided if we knew how to work a tripod the day before.
We only had one day to edit and of course my computer kept glitching out so it took me over an hour to turn in the last assignment that I had to resubmit so i had no time to edit in class. I went in during lunch to edit and it took me less the 25 minuets to edit because after awhile I got the hang of using premie pro and all I had to do was add sound and cut clips which was super simple.
